DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Clean and maintain the shop’s floors, windows, counters, shelves, display cases, and other surfaces.
  2. Ensure that the store’s interior is consistently clean, tidy, and welcoming for customers and staff.
  3. Regularly dust and sanitize display items and jewelry showcases to maintain a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
  4. Clean and maintain washrooms, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies (soap, toilet paper, etc.) and kept in a hygienic condition.
  5. Empty trash bins and ensure the disposal of waste is done regularly and appropriately.
  6. Prepare and serve tea, coffee, or other refreshments for customers and staff, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  7. Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen or tea preparation area, ensuring utensils, cups, and appliances are kept clean and organized.
  8. Serve drinks to customers or staff during meetings, consultations, or throughout the day as needed.
  9. Ensure that the tea/coffee service area is well-stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., tea bags, coffee, sugar, milk, and snacks).
  10. Greet customers with a friendly and professional demeanor when serving refreshments or assisting in the shop.
  11. Provide a positive customer experience by ensuring that customers feel welcome and well-served during their time in the jewelry store.
  12. Assist in offering tea/coffee to customers in waiting areas or as part of their shopping experience.
  13. Assist the store team in running errands as needed, such as replenishing stock, helping with light organization, or preparing items for display.
  14. Provide general assistance to the store staff, especially in busy periods, by ensuring that the work environment remains clean and conducive to sales.
  15. Report any cleaning or maintenance issues to the supervisor for prompt action (e.g., broken fixtures, missing supplies).
  16. Ensure that cleaning supplies, tea-making supplies, and other necessary materials are available and in good condition.
  17. Assist in the organization and restocking of office supplies or kitchen items as needed.
  18. Follow safety guidelines and hygiene standards while performing cleaning duties.
  19. Ensure that all cleaning products and supplies are used safely and stored properly.
  20. Be aware of safety hazards in the store, especially concerning cleaning products, and report any issues to the manager.
  21. Assist with the occasional tidying of the store’s jewelry displays and other minor tasks that support the sales team.
  22. Ensure the work area remains organized and that your cleaning duties do not interfere with customer-facing operations.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  1. Diploma/Degree in any field.
  2. Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude.
  3. Detail-oriented and able to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  4. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
  5. Prior cleaning or hospitality experience is preferred, but not essential.
