Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Trainer to come in and train our internal staff. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and managing training programs that equip our company employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in business development roles. This role focuses on developing talent to improve sales performance, enhance client relationships, and expand market opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Training Program Design and Delivery:
- Develop and deliver engaging training content focused on business development strategies, sales techniques, customer relationship management, and market expansion.
- Create training modules that include various methods, such as workshops, webinars, e-learning, and one-on-one coaching.
- Tailor training programs to meet the needs of individuals or teams at different experience levels.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Sales Strategy Coaching:
- Teach business development professionals how to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
- Provide guidance on lead generation, qualifying prospects, negotiating deals, and closing sales.
- Foster an understanding of key metrics and KPIs to measure success in business development efforts.
- Skill Enhancement:
Train employees on critical soft skills, such as communication, negotiation, and problem-solving that are essential for business development.
- Collaboration with Leadership:
- Work closely with management and leadership teams to align training content with business goals and performance expectations.
- Support business development teams by offering personalized training sessions and coaching.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track the progress of trainees and evaluate the success of training programs.
- Prepare detailed reports on training activities, outcomes, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure that training results are aligned with the company’s overall business development objectives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field (5+ years preferred).
- Strong background in creating and delivering training programs, with expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring business development professionals.
- Familiarity with CRM software, sales analytics, and other business development tools.
- Ability to adapt training content to different learning styles and organizational needs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and assess training effectiveness.
- Familiarity with digital platforms and the art of selling platforms to target customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Training & Development, Sales, or Business Development.
- Experience in B2B sales or other relevant industries.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and tools (e.g., LMS, Zoom).
